November means London Jazz Festival time again - I'll be playing with Arun Ghosh's "Arkestra Makara" project at The Albany in Deptford on Sunday the 24th: http://www.londonjazzfestival.org.uk/events/info/arun-ghoshs-arkestra-makara
I've also been lucky enough to catch a few gigs at The Barbican this past week. On Saturday night I was lucky enough to watch Dave Sanborn & Bob James' soundcheck/gig with a certain Mr. Steve Gadd on drums! Steve has been a hero of mine nearly all my drumming life but I've never seen him play live. I was not disappointed, he still displays such control, taste and authority behind a set of drums. Not only is Steve a peerless musician but he's a really approachable and humble human being too - I really enjoyed chatting with him after the gig. Before he left he said he'd "Look out for me!" Thanks Steve!!
