Andrew Marr Show

June was a very busy month with JTQ gigs in the Lake District, Switzerland and Rochester Cathedral. I also squeezed in a library music session for Audio Network composers Adam Drake & Tom Jenkins at Soundlab studios.

As well as fitting in various function gigs (including getting my kit up to the 35th floor of The Shard!) I enjoyed playing some great gigs with the Zoe Rahman Quartet in the Isle of Man, Lincoln University and finally at Hop Farm Festival in Kent where we also managed to catch the end of the Daptones Super Soul Revue (Sharon Jones and band were off the hook) and another Jones, the fabulous Grace, who entertained us until the plug was pulled!

I have also been rehearsing hard for our Jerry Dammers' Spatial AKA Orchestra gig at The Barbican on the 18th July: https://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event-detail.asp?ID=16277

We shall be promoting this gig with an appearance on BBC1's "Andrew Marr Show" with a smaller version of the band featuring Jamaican legend Cornel Campbell: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04b62gr

To end this month off JTQ will be performing a double bill with The Average White Band at Hampton Pool: http://www.hamptonpool.co.uk/4-concerts-and-activities/concerts/4_concerts-average-white-band-james-taylor-quartet.htm
